Student Financial Services


The Student Financial Services help students receive information about residence, meal plans, incidental fees, tuition fees, promissory notes and tax receipts.

The Student Financial Services building is located on 4th floor of East Campus 5.

From 8:30 to 16:30 on business days

A list of things they can you help on:

  • Learning about the University Health Insurance Plan
  • Understanding your fees - tuition and non-tuition
  • Becoming “fees arranged”
  • Writing promissory notes
  • Knowing the deadlines and whether you have financial holds on your student account or not
  • Producing tax receipts

Awards & Financial Aid:

If you need information about student loans, scholarships and bursaries, you can contact the Student Awards & Financial Aid (SAFA) services. Their main goal is to provide financial support.
If you would like to know how to apply for Ontario Student Assistance Program, please visit their website.

Registrar’s Office:

If you need information about undergraduate programs, courses, transcripts and proof of enrolment for RESP purposes, please contact the Registrar’s Office.
They can help you on ordering transcripts, submitting forms, solving course enrolment issues, and providing enrolment verification documents.
They are located on the second floor of Needles Hall. You can also contact them via registrar@uwaterloo.ca.
